The staff at 21st Century Quiz Ltd Janet Barker was a co-founder of Century Quiz in 1984. Her early credits included a win in the Robert Robinson show Ask The Family along with a few helpers, followed by successful appearances on radio's Brain of Britain and on Mastermind on television. Janet has worked continuously since 1984 providing questions for the media. Her contributions which are sometimes witty, sometimes erudite, but always interesting and always accurate have gained her a respected reputation throughout the quiz media industry. Neville Cohen was the other co-founder of Century Quiz in 1984. His media credits include Brain of Britain, Mastermind and a spectacular appearance on The Krypton Factor when he won the contest with ease but managed to break his leg on the final assault course. Neville was a physics lecturer, and is renowned for setting interesting but challenging science questions. His other specialities are sport, in spite of being a fervent Manchester City supporter, and geography. In the last few years, showing true dedication to research, he has walked or cycled across most of the wild corners of the earth.
Ray Oakes is the baby of the organisation, having worked with Janet and Neville for a mere 5 years. Ray also has successful appearances on Brain of Britain and on Mastermind under his belt. He is one of the top quizzers in the respected Merseyside Quiz League and has won the annual Mimir Trophy for the best quiz player in the Merseyside Leagues on no less than 5 occasions. It is expected that Ray will take an increasingly important and visible role within 21stCentury Quiz as future business develops. |
